MNUFC CEO Christina Hennington won't rush into "single most important hire"
Minnesota United CEO Christina Hennington has been on the job for 90 days - and already has decisions to make.
Prior to Minnesota's 3-1 win against Sporting Kansas City on Wednesday evening, Minnesota United CEO Christina Hennington spoke - first to club-level ticket-holders, and then to media. And despite what certain feverish, reactionary media members might be writing, she's taking her time to hire a permanent chief soccer officer for the club - a move that she called her "number one priority" and "probably the single most important hire that I can make here, in the short term."
According to the CEO, the club is in the process of interviewing both domestic and international candidates for the role - and while she would "love to have someone in place" for the winter transfer window, she stressed that she's trying to hire the right person, not hit a timeline.
