Minnesota sits at .500, and has one of the lowest payrolls in the league. They're hovering right around the playoff line. Fans can be bitingly critical of the perceived lack of investment from the ownership suite, and as the deadline to add to the team approaches, many are taking an actions-speak-louder-than-words stance toward the front office.

Am I talking about the Twins, or the Loons?

It's not a good thing that Minnesota United, wittingly or unwittingly, has put themselves into the same boat as the Twins, without any of the built-in advantages that Major League Baseball has over Major League Soccer.
